FILMS AND DOCUMENTARIES
The Garden of Hope
In 1939 Poland, Antonia Zabinska and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski, manage the thriving Warsaw Zoo. When their country is invaded by German forces, Jan and Antonia are forced to obey the orders of a new zoologist selected by the Reich, Lutz Heck. However, determined to fight against the regime, Antonia and Jan begin to secretly collaborate with the Resistance and put into action a series of plans to rescue people from the newly created Warsaw Ghetto, putting their lives and everything they built at risk.
The Golden Woman
Almost six decades have passed since Maria Altmann, of Jewish origin, was forced to leave Vienna to escape the Nazi regime. Now, determined to recover the "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I", the famous painting by Gustav Klimt that was confiscated from her family by the German army, she leaves Los Angeles and returns, for the first time, to the city where she was born. To face the long legal battle that lies ahead, which involves a confrontation with the Austrian State and the US Supreme Court, he can only count on Randol Schoenberg, a brave young lawyer with little experience.
The girl who stole books
During World War II, a young girl named Liesel Meminger survives outside Munich through the books she steals. Helped by her adoptive father, she learns to read and shares books with her friends, including a Jewish man who lives underground in her home. While not reading or studying, she runs errands for her mother and plays with her friend Rudy.
Aristides de Sousa Mendes, the Consul of Bordeaux

The pianist
Polish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman was playing classical pieces on a Warsaw radio station when the first bombs fell on the city in 1939. With the German invasion and the start of World War II, restrictions on Polish Jews by the Nazis also began. Inspired by the pianist's memoirs, the film shows the emergence of the Warsaw Ghetto, when the Germans built walls to lock up the Jews in some areas, and follows the persecution that led to the capture and sending of the Szpilman family to the concentration camps. Wladyslaw is the only one who manages to escape and is forced to take refuge in abandoned buildings around the city, until the nightmare of war is over.
Schindler's List
The story of Oskar Schindler, an opportunistic guy, seducer, shipowner, nice, black market trader, but, above all, a man who related very well with the Nazi regime, so much so that he was a member of the Nazi Party itself (which prevented him from being arrested a few times, but they always released him quickly, due to his contacts). However, despite his flaws, he loved human beings and did the impossible, to the point of losing his fortune, but managing to save more than a thousand Jews from the concentration camps.
Shoah
Epic documentary about the Shoah.
The Decent Man
Heinrich Himmler was born on October 7, 1900 in Munich, Germany, into a middle-class Catholic family. In 1919, a year after the end of the First World War, he began his studies in Agricultural Sciences. During his student days, he was an active member of several nationalist groups. In 1923, he joined the Nazi Party and, two years later, the SS.
